- 3Paste
- 4Save as PNG
- 5Find where on earth you just saved it

8 clicks. CapDrop makes it 1 drag.
Five screenshots a day = ten thousand clicks a year. CapDrop gives that time back.
Meet the floating screenshot cards.
The moment you capture, a preview card floats onto your screen — not buried in a folder, not stuck to your cursor.
Resizable. Movable. Pin multiple at once.
Keep important captures floating in a corner of your screen while you work. Reference them, compare them, drag them.
When you need to share, drag the card straight into Slack, Teams, Notion, WhatsApp, Gmail — anywhere that accepts files.
No saving. No folder hunting. No upload button.
Four things that change everything.
Floating screenshot cards
Capture once. Resize, move, pin multiple at the same time. Drag any of them where you need it. Zero seconds folder-hunting.
Auto-capture entire decks
Set "every 2 seconds, press Space, take 30 shots." Walk away. Come back to a 30-page PowerPoint already captured. Perfect for lectures, long PDFs, e-books.
PDF & GIF in one click
Select multiple captures with a mouse drag → instant PDF document or looping GIF. No "open in another app", no exporting back and forth.
Save as PDF by default
Pick PNG, JPG, or PDF once in settings. Government forms, contracts, e-filings that reject image attachments — every capture is already a one-page PDF, ready to drag straight in.
Built for these moments.
Lectures into PDFs or GIFs
Set auto-capture on the recorded class and walk away. Come back to a clean PDF — or an animated GIF — of every slide.
Important screens to email or chat, instantly
Capture several meeting screens, charts, or reports — they all stay floating side-by-side for at-a-glance comparison. Pick the right card and drag it straight into Gmail, Outlook, Slack, or Teams. The save-then-find-then-attach detour is gone.
E-books into GIFs
Auto-capture page after page, hit GIF. Show that reference flipbook-style without scrolling.
Government forms & office filings
Tax portals, e-filings, contract templates, internal approval forms — all the places that refuse image attachments. Set CapDrop to PDF and the captured card drags straight into the upload slot. No "convert to PDF" detour.

Frequently asked questions
What happens when the 7-day trial ends?
You can keep using CapDrop. Captures get a small "Made with CapDrop" watermark in the corner. Buy a license — watermark disappears instantly.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within 7 days, just email us — no questions, no forms. We usually process refunds within 2-3 business days.
Do you support Mac?
Not yet. We are Windows-first because the unsolved screenshot workflow is biggest on Windows. Mac is on the roadmap once v1 is stable.
Can I transfer my license to another PC?
Yes. One license = up to 2 active PCs. Buying a new laptop? Deactivate the old one in your dashboard, activate the new.
Where do my screenshots go?
Your PC, full stop. We never see them. Want a custom folder? Settings → Save Location lets you choose where captures go. No cloud upload, no telemetry on capture content.
Can I save captures as PDF instead of PNG?
Yes. Settings → Default save format → PDF. Every new capture is written directly as a one-page PDF — no "Print to PDF" detour, no separate convert step. The floating card you drag is already a document, so it slots straight into government e-filings, tax portals, contract templates, and internal approval forms that reject image attachments. PNG and JPG stay available; flip between them any time.
Does CapDrop auto-update?
Yes by default — new versions install in the background. You can turn it off in Settings. Prefer an older version? All past releases are on our GitHub Releases page.
What about team or company licenses?
Reach out — we will set up a custom bulk license. 5+ seats get roughly 20% off.
Does it work with Teams, Zoom, browsers?
Anywhere that accepts dragged files. That is basically all of them — Slack, Discord, Teams, Notion, Gmail, Outlook, every chat app, every browser composer.
Will the price go up?
Yes. After 6 months we move to $29. Buy now and you are locked at $19 with all future updates included.
How is CapDrop different from other screenshot tools?
Other tools focus on "saving the file". CapDrop focuses on what comes next: • Floating screenshot cards on your screen — resize, move, pin multiple at once • Drag once to attach anywhere — Slack, Teams, Discord, Notion, Gmail, Outlook, WhatsApp, any chat app • Auto-capture + key press automation — PPT, e-books, long PDFs • Instant PDF or GIF export — combine multiple captures in one click • 100% local — your data stays on your PC, lifetime license
